Treating

Our largest natural gas treating facility is located in the Barnett Shale at our Alliance Station, where we use amine to treat up to 300 MMcfd of natural gas from wells connected to our Alliance gathering system for the removal of carbon dioxide (CO2) from the natural gas stream before it is delivered to the downstream intrastate pipeline systems.

Additional gas treating stations are located in our Fayetteville and Haynesville/Bossier gathering systems. The production from these areas is typically dry but contains amounts of CO2 that must be removed in order to meet pipeline specifications.

We also use amine to treat the NGLs produced at our Cowtown and Corvette Plants for the removal of CO2 before the NGLs are delivered into the downstream NGL pipeline systems. The fees paid to Crestwood for processing the natural gas at these plants includes the removal of CO2 from the extracted NGLs.
